Just The Three Of Us

We kept ourselves busy while Skyla and Les were away. August and Jude enjoyed their time together and loved sleeping in mama's bed.

Alpaca Shearing

Skyla loved every minute of her trip with Les to help with the alpaca shearing. She managed her station very independently and took pride in her efforts to help. She was in charge of sorting the fleece, bagging it, throwing it over the fence, and lining the trash can with the next bag. She made it clear from the beginning that she did not need her daddy's help and he could just step on back over to the task that he was assigned to. She was able to spend the evenings cuddled up with her Aunt Brooke working on her hand embroidery and basking in all the attention that she did not have to share with her siblings. From what I hear she was also quite chatty with her Papa and Uncle Trey. I think we may have an annual trip in the making...

Words Of Wisdom

Skyla will travel this weekend with just her daddy for the first time. We are all excited for them to have this special time together. They are joining her Aunt Brooke and Uncle Trey to help Lester's father on his Alpaca Farm, with the annual sheering of the animals. Today, Skyla handed me this note. I think I need to hang on to these words she has given me. I know I will need to hear them a few more times in the future. :)
