MLK Day
Jude didn't quite get the idea.
I wanted to do more with the kids this year to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We watched his "I have a dream" speech and read a book about what things were like during the time he grew up. We went to the parade at the square and the girls held up a coloring page they made wishing Dr. King a happy birthday. We also made 'dream clouds' an idea I saw on a blog I am often inspired by. We had quite a long and meaningful conversation as they were going to bed. It is so wonderful the way children have a natural tendency to love without judgement. I pray they hold on to this as they grow up.
